Terri Pearce is executive vice president of human resources of HSBC North America Holdings, a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings, one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations. Terri covers a dual role as group head of talent policy and practice and US head of talent. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of the people strategy including developing and directing talent, diversity, culture, and organizational development for HSBC’s US workforce.
She joined the company in 1988 and has since held a series of executive management roles with responsibility on and offshore. Her prior roles include head of service delivery for HSBC Americas HR operations, director HR credit card services, and several other leadership roles in the distributed branch network and call centers.
Terri received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Vanderbilt University and her MBA from University of Phoenix. She served on the board of directors at the Association for Talent Development, is a founding member of CTDO Next, serves on the executive committee for the Conference Board Council on Learning, Development, and Organizational Performance, and is an active member of the Society for Human Resources Management. She was also awarded the Athena Award in 2003 by the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce for professionalism and service to communities as well as for promoting women in business programs.
